・General

Q: How to clean stubborn stains on decorative stainless steel? Mix neutral detergent with water, wipe the stained area with a cloth. Please avoid using acidic and alkaline cleaning solutions or containing these ingredients that might cause possible discoloration. Please refer to NEUES and Fine Color maintenance guide for details.

Q: Can decorative stainless steel be used for both interior and exterior? Yes, it can be used for both interior and exterior, however for environment where stainless steel is prone to rust and deteriorate coloring appearance, like salt damage etc., it’s necessary to select a stainless steel grade that doesn’t rust easily.

Q: What type of stainless steel can be colored? NEUES colors can be processed on any type of stainless steel material. Fine colors can be process on SUS304 only.

Q: What’s the minimum order? There is no minimum order.

NEUES and Fine’s difference

・Fine Color

Q: What’s the manufacturing size for Fine color products? SHEET: Thickness 0.8-3.0mm, width 1219mm or under, length 5000mm or under, weight per sheet 150kg or under. FLAT BAR AND ACCESSORIES : Thickness 6.0mm or under,width 150mm or under, length 5000mm or under, weight 40kg or under per production. For more information, please refer to Fine Product page.

Q: Is it possible to apply Fine Color to the finished products? Yes, however, there are restrictions on size, shape and the finish of the product, please send us your inquiry.

Q: Can Fine Color products be fabricated? Bending and shallow press works are possible. The color tone of the area where force is applied during fabrication may change slightly, but the color coating layer will not be peeled off. Please use a protective film to prevent scratches during fabrication.

Q: Can Fine color coated surface scratches be repaired? No, it is difficult to make similar color by paints or dyes to match the original Fine color, the damaged material has to be replaced.

Q: What’s the manufacturing size of FG3 anti-fingerprint coatings? SHEET: Thickness 0.8-3.0mm, width 1524mm or under, length 5000mm or under, weight per sheet 180kg or under. FLAT BAR AND ACCESSORIES : Thickness 6.0mm or under, width 150mm or under, length 4000mm or under, weight 70kg or under per production. For more information, please refer to FG3 Product page.

Q: Is it possible to apply FG3 anti-fingerprint coating to the finished product? Yes, however, there are restrictions on size and weight, height: 300mm or under, width 1000mm or under, length 4000mm or under, weight 70kg or under, for more details, please send us your inquiry.

Q: Can FG3 coated products be fabricated? Bending and shallow press works are possible. Please use a protective film to prevent scratches during fabrication.

Q: Will repetitively cleaning cause deterioration of FG3 coating even if only exclusive cleaning agent for stainless steel is used? FG3 is a glass like inorganic stable compound, it will not deteriorate under general cleaning method. Please use water or neutral cleaning agents and avoid detergents containing chlorine bleach, acid or alkaline which can rust stainless steel, also, avoid cleaner containing abrasive grains and brushing with a steel brush that can scratch the FG3 coating layer. Please refer to FG3 maintenance guide for details.

Q: How long will the FG3 stain resistance ability last? FG3 is a glass like inorganic stable compound, it will not deteriorate with heat or ultraviolet light like resin and paint. FG3 coating will remain stable even after more than 10 years of exposure outdoors. With regular maintenance to wipe off dirt accumulated on the surface with water, it will last even longer period of time.
